I started my journey in healthcare in 1996 as a Healthcare Aide working in longterm care.  In September of 2007 I decided to further my education by taking the Licensed Practical Nurse course at ACC.  I then graduated in December of 2008 where I continued working in longterm care as well as acute care. 

After working as a nurse for just over 7 years I then went on to take the Foot Care course in 2016 at ACC and proceeded to start a mobile foot care business and soon realized what an incredibly needed service it was.  Eventually I became quite busy while at the same time holding a nursing position in facility. 

In 2023, I took the opportunity to join the team at The Vault and have not once regretted making that decision.  

At present, I hold a full time position at Baldur Health Center working in longterm care and at the same time try to commit myself to being at The Vault one day a week, most weeks. 

If you asked me in my early 20’s whether I planned to continue working in longterm care I probably would have said no and not because I didn’t enjoy it, I just saw myself trying different things.  Little did I know, I was going to love working with the elderly, and In total I have worked in Healthcare for 29 years.  

Every resident/client I’ve worked with holds a special place in my heart and looking back I wouldn’t change one step I’ve taken in this journey called life.
